Optional website analytics
With your permission, Google Analytics measures visits and successful newsletter signups. We do not send your newsletter email or anonymous authentication identifier as analytics event parameters. Advertising personalization is disabled. Google Privacy Policy.
If you accept analytics, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand clicks, scrolling and navigation on this website. Clarity reconstructs browsing sessions; it does not record your camera or desktop. Form fields are masked. Microsoft processes this information in its Azure infrastructure. Ordinary session recordings are retained for 30 days; selected recordings may be retained for up to 9 months.
Rejecting analytics keeps Google Analytics and Clarity from loading. Change your choice using Privacy preferences on the home page. Your choice is saved in this browser. We do not load Clarity when your browser signals Global Privacy Control.
Contact and newsletter requests
The live-jam contact form opens your email application, and you must send that message yourself. Newsletter signups are saved privately in Google Cloud Firestore in the United States, with your email, consent, signup date and subscription status. Firebase creates an anonymous identifier in your browser when you submit or manage a signup. This does not verify ownership of your email address. Use the unsubscribe button from the same browser, or email hello@hugob1.com to request a change, unsubscribe or deletion. We retain your signup until you request deletion; an unsubscribe retains a suppression record. Newsletter signup works even when you reject optional analytics.
